Mass of Thanksgiving
Father Michael Augustine Amabisco, O.P.
Monday June 28, 2010
"...One day while at Mass, it struck me...that a priest has the best life. He is God's instrument that brings Christ to the world in the Eucharist. That is the life I want."
Fr. Michael Augustine, O.P.
Once again, we were blessed and overjoyed to have another of our newly ordained Dominican Priest, Father Michael Augustine, come to celebrate his Mass of Thanksgiving with us.
Father Michael Augustine, O.P. was born and raised in Orange County, California. He was converted to Catholicism at age 23 and began to think about the priesthood not long after.
After years of hearing God's call and having much of everything he wanted he was unfulfilled. Eventually, he found his way to the Dominican Order and found the fulfillment he was searching for.
We pray for our young priests and all priests who dedicated their talents, time, energy and their very lives to the preaching of the Word for the salvation of souls. May God's
love and abundant blessings be upon Father Michael Augustine to guide and sustain him as he begins his new role as Shepherd of souls and may the Virgin Mary, Mother of
the Clergy and Divine Queen of the Priesthood to whom Father Michael Augustine
has consecrated his priesthood, protect and guide him in all his endeavors, for the greater glory of God .
DEO GRATIAS!
